If you want to be served average food by lazy inflexible idiots, in a nice layout, this is the place for you:1. The servers barely spoke English while 90% of patrons were Westerners. But this would not be a serious problem on its own.2. They were lazy: Even the only one who could speak English was not in a hurry to find our table, didn't want to take the orders and then wrote it wrong.3. They were inflexible: did not want to make any dish that is not on the menu, even if its just scrambled eggs,
1. The servers barely spoke English while 90% of patrons were Westerners. But this would not be a serious problem on its own.
2. They were lazy: Even the only one who could speak English was not in a hurry to find our table, didn't want to take the orders and then wrote it wrong.
3. They were inflexible: did not want to make any dish that is not on the menu, even if its just scrambled eggs, for a toddler!!! The reason they gave us was: they don't have any egg available. Really? How come we could have poached eggs for our brunches then?!?
4. But the best bit of all: They are complete idiots! We wanted to split the Hkd 684 bill by half into 2 credit cards, a very standard operation that even a 7-y old kid can do. Guess what? they first came back with 1 credit card bill of Hkd 342 and another of Hkd 684! Did they expect a 50% tip for their awesome service so far?!?
We asked them to revise it, but this time we had 2 bills of Hkd 342 on the same credit card! Luckily the prices did not include service charges, so of course we did not include any tip. But if we could put a negative one as a fine for such bad attitude, we would have! And believe me, we know how to tip: in other restaurants where there s no service charges, we usually give a 10-15% tip
5. The average food quality was far from enough to compensate for the awful service. Even the spacious design of the restaurant will never convince us to go back there! Especially if we bring the baby and stroller: they did not even offer to help us bring the stroller upstairs while there is no lift!
We would advise the owner to:
1. Change the servers, or
2. Close the restaurant and use the nice spacious layout for something else ( a shop?)
before it goes bankrupt because of the bad service
