Dinner for three, we each ordered the HK$980 set.As this was a last minute choice for us, we did not make a reservation until the last minute. They ended up seating us at the far end of the tempura table in the corner of the room. It turned out to be both a curse and a blessing as there was barely enough space for the waiters to serve us and we did not have a good view, but being at the tempura table meant that all our tempura were served immediately--a big plus.We picked a random Junmai Daiginj

We picked a random Junmai Daiginjo Sake (HK$1,200) out of many very good choices, surprisingly fragrant and smooth. Disappointing that there was no sommelier or wine waiter to help with the choice.
The deep fried appetizers were a surprise and all the tempura were top notch--we sat at the tempura table and a very genial Japanese tempura chef served us personally in broken English.
Having tempura made with the freshest ingredients cooked right in front of you is very rewarding experience--perhaps even better than eating at the sushi bar because the quality of hot food deteriorates that much faster than cold dishes after preparation. The tempura chef would also suggest pairings with particular condiments.
Assorted sashimi was impressive: wonderfully fresh Toro and Hamachi belly with a long and lingering aftertaste. Although I would have preferred larger portions.
Soup, stewed and cooked items were delightful, innovative and beautifully presented. An inspiring blend of taste and texture.
Teppanyaki fried rice was a let-down after an otherwise 5-star meal worthy of the Four Seasons.
The final bill was HK$4600. It was definitely an experience, but not worth it unless you've got money burning a hole in your pocket (or it's on someone else's tab ).
