We thought about ordering Pizza Express for Winter Solstice Festival but when we saw the 30% off à la carte for showing up in striped outfit promotion, there's our incentive to dine in there. For a family of four, we shared 2 appetizers, 1 salad, 1 pasta, and 2 pizzas. It was a night of dough. Dad had his favorite coke and we were just happy with water. My mom loved bread so we had Baked Dough Balls with three sauces and nine crispy and chewy dough balls. We liked the dried tomato pesto the most

My mom loved bread so we had Baked Dough Balls with three sauces and nine crispy and chewy dough balls. We liked the dried tomato pesto the most. There were also garlic butter and garlic pesto.
Dad on the other hand was a meat lover so he had Meatballs & Bolognese that was served with six more cute dough balls.
We had a house salad, Insalata della Casa, which was served with fresh lettuce leaves, chicken, ham, egg, olives and cheese.
I chose Ravioli e Pomodora from the festive menu with spinach and ricotta cheese filling as I always craved for Spinach Cannelloni but the dish tasted rather dry without much sauce and the pasta texture was rather hard.
As to pizzas, we tried Sassi with Italian sausage, red onions, fresh thyme, cream, rocket, and parmesan. We liked the refined taste even though there was no tomato.
il Sorriso, on the other hand didn't taste as interesting as before. It was just too sweet with too much honey on scant roasted chicken, topped with ricotta, cherry tomatoes, pancetta, rosemary, basil and lemon.
Altogether, it's a decent eatery with yummy pizzas and good service. Since sis and mom had showed up in striped tops, we got our discount deal.
