The long queue at five guys prove that HK people crave for legit burgers at a reasonable price. Recently there has been a Renaissance in hk regarding American burger chain: first it was shakeshack, and now the Virginia-native five guys. Despite its international domination (many joints in Canada too, ok maybe not that international...), Hong Kong is the first joint opened in Asia (pls fact check on me). The line proves that why McDonald's is around every street corners. HK cannot get enough of fastfood! Fast pace and not having to dress up give the efficiency-first Hongkongers an excuse to indulge in fatty burgers!
Five guys is of course a healthier option. The patties are fresh made to order (not frozen) and the meat quality is really good for the price we are paying. The caijun fries are crispy and always a great add to the burger. I am quite looking forward to the milkshake once they are ready to serve it on the menu. It is a soft opening and a new beginning of an era. #chipotle pls take note and open in hk too! 🙏🏽
To beat the crowd, make sure you go around 11am and 9pm when they are opening and closing!
