Spend a lot of time away from home and eating in many restaurants that I choose from this site, and I decided to start giving my opinion too, since some of the reviews I've read have been somehow contradictory at the reality, it is that not all the people have the same tastes.
Today I was in Tapagría a Spanish restaurant, and as usual, I had lunch alone, I like to breathe a bit of peace after a busy morning.
It is located in the One, on the 18th floor. I've been in the building many times but I've never noticed the three restaurants on this floor,
I had to book in advance because the times I've tried to eat without reservation, was always full.
The receptionist has attended me instantly and led me to the table very nicely.
I have been informed from the manager that there was no set lunch today because we are still at Easter, and he presented me the brunch menu for the occasion and showed me the semi buffet exposed along the bar.
The buffet consisted of a variety of salads with their respective sauces, smoked salmon, grilled vegetables, Iberian ham, tomato soup, cheese, breads and assorted Iberian.
I opted for vegetables, smoked salmon, Iberian ham and cheese.
Leaving aside the sausages, I am Spanish and I can vouch that are delicious, the vegetables were quite pleased, it is not easy to find a place in Asia where serve well-cooked vegetables, usually tend to be rather raw.
The tomato soup was very tasty, and I repeated twice.
A very friendly waitress helped me with the second bowl and confessed to me that she also really liked this soup.
For main course I've ordered lamb chops with port sauce and mashed potatoes. I have served with mustard and mint jelly.
The chops were on point, and the mashed potatoes very creamy, mixed with mint jelly and port sauce gave an exquisite flavour.
For dessert I've gone to the buffet bar and I have serve my self a little of everything. As a good European I love the sweet and the mini cheese cake was delicious.
Finally, one coffee with a mini Easter egg to sweeten the farewell.
The cost was around 400 HKD , The truth is that I've enjoyed lunch, the atmosphere was very friendly and I have seen several small children, so I can bring my friends with their children too.
I have yet to meet the other two restaurants on the same floor, but I will be back to Tapagría.
