For a largely non-beef eater like me, burgers don't usually make themselves into my diet. Not even so on the days I'm going veggie. But there are times that I want to indulge in a burger like everyone else. So, apart from the fish burgers/chicken burgers/sausage burgers, I've begun to explore the world of vegetarian or veggie burgers recently. And I'm thinking about doing a series of veggie burgers here for the benefit of burger lovers alike.It wasn't long since BLT Burger opened in Times Square

It wasn't long since BLT Burger opened in Times Square when I paid a visit there. After scanning the menu, I was pretty sure of what I was going to have - Veggie Falafel ($78), the one and only veggie burger on offer. There were optional toppings that you could choose to add to the burger,and I immediately fell for he blue cheese topping ($12).

The burger turned out to be quite spectacular. I particularly loved that piece of pickle on top and the coleslaw on the side (only present on burgers in more authentic i.e. 'westernized' burger chains).

The falafel patty however was way too salty and spicy for my liking, overpowering any flavor to be contributed by the blue cheese sauce. And that would offset any health benefit presumd to be present with he whole wheat bun (which was soft and wheaty) topped with a few oat flakes.

That aside, it's still a decent burger place with the appropriate ambience of an old school style American diner .

Perhaps my only struggle, if I should go there again, is what kind of milkshake to have!
