Stopped in for an after-badminton dinner. 9 pm on Sunday evening and the place was bustling and energetic. Several large groups of young people, who were rather...ummmm....loud. Ambience was bright and cheerful; lots of light wood in the decor. But all the surfaces are hard and the ceiling low (of course, this is HK), so the noise level was uncomfortably high.Food was good, for the most part. Food was good, for the most part. We tried the Tofu starter, which was interesting, but not something we'd order again. The mushroom salad, on the other hand, was excellent. Tasty mushies, fresh greens and the dressing was light and flavorful.
For the mains, we had a sausage plate, which was just okay, (instant mashed potatoes -- how American!) and a plate of the soft tacos, which were excellent. The sirloin chunks in the tacos were flavorful and tender, and the guacamole lemony and tasty.
All in all, we would go back again, particularly for the salads. Based on the amount of oil on our corn chips (with the tofu), I would probably recommend avoiding the fried stuff.
