Ever since Whampoa MTR was opened, there have been a huge number of new restaurants opening. Today after work, we just walked along the street to see if there are any nice food around. While walking along Man Tai Street behind the main road, we were attracted by the decor of this cafe. Man Tai 47 is a Spanish cafe offering reasonable pricing. They offered tapas, salad and soup, pasta, risotto, main, desserts and drinks etc. When we were about to order fruit tea, the waiter told us that they were offering 1 for 1 for their fruit tea from 6pm onwards.
Peach pomelo jasmine tea - There were real pomelo meat residing at the bottom of the glass and the jasmine tea were strong. The drink was sweet and maybe due to the hot weather, the ice melt too fast.
Signature paella de marisco - The serving was not alot, just enough for 1 person. There were alot of ingredients in it, such as mussels, clams, prawns and chinese sausages. Maybe it uses chinese sausages to fry the rice, the paella was very flavourful and chewy. Seafood were fresh and juicy as well.
Sriracha chicken wings - I thought the wings were marinated in sriracha sauce like buffalo wings, but sriracha sauce was spread on the wings instead. The wings were hot and crispy, and the sriracha sauce helps to enhance the flavour.
Chun Chun Kung egg waffle - I have never seen egg waffles being presented this way, thus it was quite unique. Egg waffles were separated by pieces and sticks were pierced into it. Even though the yam sauce was strong and thick, the egg waffle was not soft and crispy enough.
