This style of hotpot is something special. Unlike other styles where you choose only your soup base and spice level for the soup, you begin with a pot of stewed chicken and some vegetables (onions mostly in our case) in a wonderfully flavored, thick sauce (you can select the spice level and "numbness" factor with this sauce). Once you finish your chicken, the saucy, delicious remnants serve as your flavor base to which stock is added and you begin the usual process of dipping things in your hotp

Prevously, I've had this style of hotpot in Shenzhen and in the Kennedy Town cooked food centre. I enjoyed this restaurant better than the cooked food centre, and it very much reminded me of my experience in Shenzhen. So if you want to try this kind of hotpot in Hong Kong, come here.

Not much we dipped really stood out as really special. it was all pretty high quality. of moderate interest was the fact that the ham loaf (think "SPAM") was extra good.

The dried tofu skin was also quite good. it seemed fresher than I expected. Generally though I don't think you can really go wrong with their hotpot dipping options.
