Noah Castella has been the hot talk of the town recently, opening of new stores every few months at a rapid rate. Their selection were mostly cheese and honey cake. Their latest shop to be opened is located near Star Ferry at TST. It was inside the popular book store, Eslite. It was situated at a corner, occupying a small size enough to stand few people inside the shop. All their available desserts were displayed in a crystal clear glass shelf.
Since i have tried their cheese cake previously, i decided to try their recently launched drink. Brown rice milk tea is also known as GenmaiCha. It is a high quality green tea combined with roasted brown rice. The flavour is mild and combines the fresh grassy flavor of green tea with the aroma of the roasted rice.
As for their honey red bean drink, i could hardly taste any honey in it. There is little amount of red bean lying at the bottom of the glass and it was quite bland in taste. I understand that they are trying to market it as a healthy drink, but i guess that is too healthy for me. The glass was quite unique in a way that it was shaped like a light bulb, still able to re-use back as display.
I never tried their cream puff before, thus i decided to buy one and try. As i has a liking for chocolate, i use chocolate flavour. It was quite interesting in a way that the cream was placed inside a small plastic bottle, separated from the puff. When i decided to eat it, i just need to squeeze the cream inside the puff. Chocolate was sweet and creamy, combining well with the soft and crispy puff.張貼
