Spade By lassana . This is definitely a ice cream place that I highly recommended . For a dessert lover , different kinds of sweet treats always cheer me up ! For icecream , to be frank , I prefer yogurt or gelato that Spade by Lassana provided . I think gelato is much more light in texture and the mouthfuls are more glutinous , exactly my piece of cake. This is a common place that I used to visit . The menu is very extensive with different combinations and flavors , they shown their selection
Spade By lassana . This is definitely a ice cream place that I highly recommended . For a dessert lover , different kinds of sweet treats always cheer me up ! For icecream , to be frank , I prefer yogurt or gelato that Spade by Lassana provided . I think gelato is much more light in texture and the mouthfuls are more glutinous , exactly my piece of cake. This is a common place that I used to visit . The menu is very extensive with different combinations and flavors , they shown their selection on the flashlight board , electronic menu with cute drawings for display .Spade provide various type of dessert and pastries , sandwiches and lunch sets are a new member , specially emphasizing on pan fried gelato and their signature toast box . All are up to standard in a very reasonable price range .
Toast box - Japanese deluxe : 日本風情
Here is the first recommendation .It is definitely worth for waiting 20 mins after you see the actual presentation. The presentation is very outstanding . As you can see , is very fruitful and eye catching . They placed all the ingredients carefully and delicately on top the toast box to keep it decent outlook so it won't collapse at all . The toast itself is very crispy and buttery , it is just so delicious that you won't feel heavy after a few bite coz all you want is craving for more ! Two big scoop of gelato on top :Green tea and sesame flavors . Both are very dense and rich . I particularly enjoy the green tea one , not too sweet but in very strong green tea hint , while it is a bit bitter , but in fact it brings out the mellowness ! Amazing . The texture is creamy and smooth , overall mouthfuls are still much more lighter than normal ice cream . Whipped cream specially match with the crispy toast cubes . And the chocolate stick and palmier ( the butterfly crackers ) even give an extra crisp and crunch to satisfy the max . Red bean , chocolate sauce and black sesame sprinkle and spread on top to enhance the tastes and complex the flavors .
Toast box -Berries Party : 野莓盛會
Here is another toast box that hit the spotlight too . Just to mention , all their toast box is quite big. The portion can be shared by 2- 4 persons , depends on your dessert capability ! For me , I can finished up one with a female friend ... This one is a berries selection . Same in an excellent presentation with a colorful outlook ! I think this look more adorable in a pinky theme . Toast are still very crispy and toasted in golden color . Their toast texture are more like croissant , flaky and buttery . Two big scoop of gelato comes to mix berries and strawberries flavor at this time . Both are good in quality and tastes marvelous ! Macaron , whipped cream , fresh berries and strawberry biscuit stick garnish on top to create such a harvest ! This is very refreshing and tastes fruity .
Strawberries and chocolate sauce match well with the toast crunch and gelato , even though the macaron is not that impress , this is definitely a good choice for berries lovers!
Chocolate fondant with ice cream
Chocolate fondant with ice cream always are the mass favorite . Spade 's one certainly up to standard . The presentation is decent enough with a few berries decoration and the ice cream is hard enough so that it won't melt easily while you enjoying such sweet savory . The fondant is hot enough to create its melting content and heart warming sensation , while it even gives a contrast to the freezing ice cream . Vanilla gelato give out it own creaminess and richness , blend well with the dense chocolaty content , very arousing . This temptation won't let you disappoint with such distinctive layers ! Both components are very strong and rich in tastes and taste surprisingly good .
Cookie and Cream Parfait Cup
This is another choice for customer if you want to have gelato with toppings , but you don't want either presented in a toast box to get stuffed or in a pan fried style to smash it . The first option comes to tall cup size in diversity . This is the cookie and cream selection . As you can see , the toppings are in a versatile selection layer upon layer . Let's introduce from the bottom , chocolate waffles on the ground , then comes to whipped cream , cornflakes in the middle , next is brownies, Vanilla gelato and cookies on the top . So , just enjoy all toppings and gelato in one bite with a tall spoon !
Sesame Parfait Cup
Same as above one , but just in a different combination . This one come up with fresh whipped cream , more cornflakes , home made sesame cake that is very spongy ,
Chocolate waffle stick , butterfly crackers and sesame gelato on top . This look quite lovely too ,and you still can enjoy its crunchy , creamy and soft texture in one mouthful , but in a lighter version !
Single small scoop- Mix berries
Mix berries is my favorite flavor . I usually come here for a single scoop after my lunch or dinner . For a single small scoop , the price is only at 18 and the main point is the portion is quite big as you can see from the picture, compare to the price , I do think is very reasonable . The mix berries flavor is sightly sour but very fruity . The sour hint is extremely refreshing and it brings out the berries actual taste . The mix berries is very strong in flavor in order to create such unique mouthfuls . Best pick in summer !
Overall , food quality and service are above average . Service are generally attentive and friendly, but I think there are not enough staff to handle it as sometimes it is a bit mess and panic due to the crowd . But not really a big deal. Price are very reasonable with a wide range selections .Customers can choose their gelato combination ( flavors + toppings ) to create their own flavors , the staff will mix them on a pan fried icing stage , it is quite interesting . It is hard to find a store that specialize on pan fried gelato in Hong Kong . The place in Yau Tong is kind of open area , but spacious enough . U can also choose another branch which is in Mong Kok Gala Place to enjoy such treats . Two branches in total . Definitely a choice for girls gathering and sharing .
