Walking through the Korean Street to find some good tasting Authentic Koean food, I stopped by this one as they had afternoon-tea sets and there were others looking outside. Walking inside, it was a place with horrible green paint, with the paint chipped off. The place was small, that had the tables squished nearby, but not too close. There were two of us, and the girl cleaning the table nodded her head for us to sit down on a small 2 person table, where everyone else was sitting at a 4 seater.
When we finally sat down they gave us the menu and poured us 2 cups of water - please note, till now, they had not said a single word to us, nor gave us any eye contact or smiled. I have been to many bad tasting places, but since they are family owned, I choose not to write poor reviews on them - but for the ones with such poor service, I will not hesistate.
First off, the water was put in stainless steel cups and the water tasted like metal. My first annoyance. I wanted to order a drink, but there was no prices at the fridge or no drink menu and their poor service made me hesistant to ask them.
We ordered two dishes first off
Toppoki with Fan Fried Dumplings

The Toppoki was overcooked, the sauce was average, and the pan fried dumplings were Korean ones I usually buy from the Supermarket. I am no cook, but I think I have been able to cook better. The price was around $60, but the amount of Toppoki was little and it included 2 dumplings.
Pork Bulgogi with Rice

This one wasn't as bad, but in retrospect, it only tasted good due to the horrible taste of the Toppoki. The pork wasn't bad and the quanitity was good (and it was cheap too) - but the more pork I had, the more I noticed that the pork was overcooked and was dry. The rice was hard and tasted horrible - and being able to cook rice properly should be a given. It's not the worst thing I have tasted, but it was below average.
I really won't recomend that place to anyone - when I left, I think the shop owner returned and she did thank me, so that is why service gets 1 point instead of 0 - otherwise, it was a horrible tasting place with horrible service.
