I am always confused about the difference between TamJai and TamJai SamGor but since I have been consistently hearing more positive comments from TamJai SamGor, we stepped into this relatively new restaurant for a highly anticipated lunch. It is located in close proximity to Central MTR exit A. The layout was clean and spacious, it just made you feel it’s alright to stay there for longer if you’re having a meal with a friend. Also, the staff were very friendly and helpful. What caught my attenti
The two of us got the MTR-highly advertised promotion - fish fillet chilly pickled cabbage mixian ($42), one at mild soup base (that’s for me of course!) and another at clear broth for fear of the pungent pepper and spice. The last of us chose cuttlefish ball and beef with mixian in a clear broth ($ 45). The bowls came boiling hot which it was such a privilege as this would never happen if you got them off delivery so do cherish these little moments of scoring hot and generous serving while you can! Although the hot soup made it more difficult to enjoy the already spicy soup base, I undoubtedly found the experience a pleasant challenge.
In an attempt to nullify the spice, I got a bottle of soy milk ($9 - top up drink deal) as we also added a can of coke ($9) and two appetisers - hunan cumin chicken wings ($35) and pork ear ($32). These appetisers never failed to put a smile of my face for they are truly so delicious. The whole range of spice levels also wowed me every time I’m presented the chart.
Love this!
