This time we came to try the set lunches on a weekend to get some idea of this new place. We ordered the Shrimp Laksa, Beef Rendang Rice, and of course the Bak Kut Teh. The Laksa soup was okay, with the combination of oil noodles and rice noodles. Beef Rendang sauce was not rich or intense enough, which should have been the essence of the dish. The worst of them I believe is the Bak Kut Teh…it was written on menu that it is the peppery Singaporean style, so I wasn't expecting much. However, what I taste was a salty but not peppery broth! It was way too salty that I can’t finish much of it…
Seems it is still a bit far away from what I tasted in Kuala Lumpur, hopefully I can find another good Baba Nyonya place soon.
