泰園 is a Thai restaurant located on a busy street in TST but as it is located on the 2nd floor, the restaurant turned out to be quite spacious with a few private booths and even a big screen TV if you get bored during your meal. I normally associate Thai cuisine with grilled meat or seafood so it was intriguing that this restaurant also specializes in seafood sashimi as they had a pretty comprehensive seafood bar with all the freshest seafood of the day.Thai Young Coconut ($48) - very refreshing

Thai Young Coconut ($48) - very refreshing and sweet! Can never go wrong with a young coconut for a Thai dinner.

Thai Roasted Beef Salad ($98) - I was pleasantly surprised at how spicy this salad was! I love spicy so this was just right for me but may be a bit strong for those who can't take spicy. The beef was quite chewy and bouncy so overall a great salad to start out with.

Fish Sashimi ($258) - Can't believe the amount of sashimi pieces that came from this fish alone! The fish was very fresh and we were given 2 types of sauce to dip in: lime and spicy. I thought the lime sauce went very well with seafood as it was slightly tart and tangy while not too overpowering.

Sashimi Combo ($288) - there's a special promotion right now for this platter of geoduck, scallop, razor clam and prawn sashimi. My favorite was the prawn sashimi which was delicious especially with the raw garlic and chili on top.

Marinated Raw Crabs ($198) - this totally reminded me of marinated crabs in Korea and I was apprehensive about eating raw crabs in HK at first but decided to go for it anyways. The crab wasn't as meaty as the ones I had in Seoul though but the texture was similar. I thought the crab could have been more flavorful as well.

Spicy and Sour Chicken Soup with Coconut Milk (S:$68/L:$158) - I loved drinking tom yum gung but sometimes it may be too spicy for everyone so this version with coconut milk can be a good comprimise. It still had the spicy and sour base but milder and sweeter due to the use of coconut milk.

Four Ingredients Hors d'oeuvre ($188) - fried shrimp cake, fried dish cake, fried spring roll and fillet of chicken wrapped in pandanus leaves. I thought these were a bit flat in flavors aside from the fried shrimp cakes.

Traditional Hainanese Chicken (Half:$98/Whole:$188) - I love eating Hainan chicken and these were quite delicious as the chicken was very tender and soft.

Chicken Oil Rice ($18 for 6 balls) - the ball shaped rice was cute for sure but not flavorful enough for chicken oil rice.

Fresh Mango Sticky Rice ($68) - my favorite Thai dessert and this was pretty good as the mangoes were fresh and sweet but the overall dessert was not too sweet.

Coconut Cream Sago Dumplings ($48) - the coconut cream sago was flavorful but felt a tad dry in texture. I was expecting it to be even creamier.

Pumpkin Coconut Dumplings ($48) - these looked really cute and I was surprised to find a chunk of pumpkin inside the dumplings. Loved the subtle sweet flavor from the pumpkin but could be more soft and creamy too.
