I've been here several times since 2013. I heard it's one of the best bars in Asia. The food here is good but service just ok (not comparable to its price). Today my sister came to visit me and we came to Sevva. We got seats outside with fan and ordered tea sets. Half hour later, a group of foreigners came over and sat beside our table. Today my sister came to visit me and we came to Sevva. We got seats outside with fan and ordered tea sets. Half hour later, a group of foreigners came over and sat beside our table. The servant just move our fan towards them without any notification. I raised hand several times and no one responded. Is there any reason that western guests should get priority even in harm of others' interest? Or can I call it racial discrimination?
Finally I went to the reception and they helped me to move inside.
The food is good as usual, but I believe it's the worst service I've ever seen in hk. As my sister wanted hot water, but I can never get one until I asked several times. And I told one waiter to get me the water while I'm signing the bill but he insisted I should sign first. (What the hell, so i can never get the water unless I sign the bill? That's so ridiculous.)
For all reasons above, I don't think Sevva is a good choice for meet friends nowadays. There are lots of good places for afternoon tea in HK. I should try other places that respect guests instead next time.
