Wanting for a healthier and greener alternative after the final fitting of my evening gown, my boyfriend and I went to 2DP. We wanted to eat here with our friends last week but their booking was full. Apparently, they have fewer bookings on Monday evening. Originally, they wanted to sit on the high chair but there were quite a number of seats for normal table. Having an exhausted body after working out, I told her I would like to be seated in those empty normal tables. She agreed at the end.We o
We ordered the melon drink with shaved milky ice and hot earl grey tea with soymilk. Obviously, the former should require more preparation time, right? But it was served ages before my earl grey tea with soy milk. They actually accidentally poured my soy milk all over their cashier before they served me. And later on, I waitied for my entire meal to finally receive my drink.
The tea was actually very disappointing. I saw how they prepare for it — pour in red tea (seriously doubt whether that was earl grey or just normal tea) and add in soy milk. Put the mixture in microwave. It costs $48! Outrageous!
Look at the portion size. It is similar to the dish called “Lo Hei” in Cantonese culture, which means prosperity toss. It was so tiny. There was too much rice vermicelli but too little of the ingredients above.
They called this the pseudo- KFC chicken drumsticks. But it was just fried bean curd with tomato sauce.
This impossible burger was interesting but I am not quite sure it wants to imitate pork or beef. It looks so raw but it tastes like pork.
I mean, the taste was okay but the portion was a bit too small.
After good old 50 minutes and 3/4 times asking the absent-minded waitress for my drink, it finally arrived. I was way too thirsty by that time.
Did I mention the price of the melon drink ordered by my boyfriend? It was $88. And later when we looked at the shaved ice which was like double the size of his drink, the melon shaved ice was only $98! Guys, dont be fooled and order the shaved ice to share instead!
When we wanted to pay, the waitresses seem to be quite ignorant about our presence and asked where do we sit and we waited at the cashier for like 5-8 mins to get our bill checked. See that deduction of VIP? Little did we know we have become the VIP of the restaurant! Strange experience!
Will we come back? Errrrr... maybe?
