Boyfriend and I were walking through the new Lee Tung Avenue when we found that the infamous Causeway Bay dessert shop, Cong Sao, had opened here as well. Even though we always eat at the Causeway Bay branch, we decided to have dessert here as we reasoned if we headed to the Causeway Bay branch, we'd probably wait for an hour before we got a table. The Wanchai branch, though not as busy as the ever popular Causeway Bay one, did have a small line but we still got a table very quickly. Mostly due
The Wanchai branch, though not as busy as the ever popular Causeway Bay one, did have a small line but we still got a table very quickly. Mostly due to the fact, the staff were still a bit confused on how to take orders and clear tables for people to sit down. I assume this place is still new and the staff are probably not as efficent as the original shop. Still working out the kinks, I guess?
Decor is exactly like their Causeway Bay branch but a bit smaller. Menu is in English and Chinese. Serving all sorts of traditional and nontraditional Chinese desserts. There is no 10% and it's cash only. I have yet to be disappointed with anything they serve.
I ordered a coconut and longan ice. It was sweet from the longan. The coconut ice was perfectly cold without being just plain ice. It had a nice chunkiness that was a slightly chewy. It was topped with tapioca that were cold so it had a nice crunch when bitten into. However, it wasn't as sweet as the Causeway Bay branch but still delicious.
