I am a meat lover, so this world famous steakhouse is always on my to-eat-list. There was a special set menu with attractive price, hence I convinced my boyfriend to try this restaurant with me lol. It was a Saturday that after the typhoon 10 hit Hong Kong, you were able to see one of the landmarks had been destroyed near the restaurant (the stairs made with stones and two vintage lanterns powered with gas). We began the meals with a bread basket and you must try their onion bread. The bread was filled with marinated onion and topped with few pieces of baked onion, the sweet flavour tasted amazing with the butter.

As for the starters, we could choose between Lobster Bisque or Mixed Green Salad. But since there were two of us, we could savour both. The Lobster Bisque had a piece of lobster claw meat in it, the soup itself got a rather rich lobster flavour, not bad for a start. Not so special for the mixed green salad though, thus I will just skip it.

I had a struggle about the main course, because I was required to pay extra HK$240 per person to get the Porterhouse and which is their signature dish. So after telling myself that its not too expensive, we decided to go for the PORTERHOUSE yay!!! Around 15 mins later, the T-bone steak had arrived to us, IT LOOKED FREAKING HUGE!! Please also be cautious of the hot plate, which the melted butter was still sizzling. Since the steak had been dry-aged for 28 days in their own aging box, it wasn’t that bloody for medium-rare. It had also been seared perfectly on the outside and you could still see that mouthwatering pinkish meat in the middle. A bit of the beefy and tender steak will bring you straight to cloud nine and you may add the old fashioned sauce that's made by their own recipe. The other side of the bone is filet mignon, perhaps because of the hot plate, it was medium-cooked when I ate it. Apart from the steak, it carried a hint of the beefy organ flavour, that taste was completely different from another one, yet it was also FANTASTIC!

It was served along with two side dishes and Mashed Potato is always the best with steak. The mashed potato was too smooth for my taste. It would have been better to have a diced potato to add some texture. Another one was Creamed Spinach, somehow the spinach and mashed potato had a similar texture, nonetheless it was good to have some veggies to balance the heaviness of the steak.

And the dinner was not over! I wasn’t expecting much about the dessert, as this was a steakhouse not a dessert shop. It wasn’t some fancy dessert with nice plating, it was just a Tiramisu, yet I got stunned by it! You can see the layers of lady fingers and mascarpone cheese, a hint of bitter coffee taste filled among the cake. I love its flavourful, rich texture and not too sweet at the same time, you nailed it Wolfgang!
