It has been a long while since i last dined out with my parents, thus i decided to bring them to a restaurant nearby. Since they stayed at around Prince Edward, we decided to go to Star Cucine, an old school western cafe that sell quality food at affordable pricing. For their main course, it comes with soup of the day, rice or pasta and a cup of hot drink. Besides that, they offer light snacks and desserts as well. Soup of the day - Soup of the day was pumpkin soup. Texture of the soup was thick and was creamy. Pumpkin taste was strong and it goes well with the garlic bread, which was soft and crispy.
Raclette cheese steak - Even though the price is slightly higher than their average price, the portion and quality more than makes up for it. It was served on a big plate, with potato wedges and mushroom at the side. Potato wedges was fried till hot and crispy and the mushroom was fresh. There were melting cheese on top of the steak and it goes well with the steak, which was soft and tender. It comes with pasta as well, and i mix it with the sauce provided and was flavourful.
Lemon watercress honey - The drink was very sweet, with the honey almost overcover the taste of lemon.
Tiramisu - The portion was quite generous, able to feed 2 person. I was quite surprised that the quality was so good, as good as any high class restaurant. The sponge was soft and was creamy, with light alcohol content.
