I didn't expect my Dad was craving Hainan chicken rice, that's why we decided to give this a try especially somewhere nearby. Seeing no queue during lunch time was a bonus. Hainanese chicken was alright. They didnt serve with the Hainanese soy sauce but the mince ginger oil. Chicken was cooked just right, still juicy. Rice portion was huge. It was chicken oil rice but not as fragrant as I thought it would be. Tasted like a typical chicken rice meal.
The minced stir fry was served hot. Certainly freshly made. You could taste the spiciness but dish wasn't served with chilli. Thai basil taste wasn't strong. Rice was topped with a sunny egg. It's always delicious to eat rice with runny yolk. All in all, it's a filling tasty dish but don't expect to be a traditional one.
It wasn't something special or traditional but only few south east asian restaurants in this area, this will be a good option to cure your crave. ☺️
