The restaurant is hidden away among the line of restaurants that flank the Ladies Market. My boyfriend and I visited on a quiet Saturday afternoon and it seemed like it was the low season for tourists in MK. We had no problem getting a seat when we walked in They had a lunch menu available which had tendon bowls for cheap. They had a lunch menu available which had tendon bowls for cheap. There is an English menu available however it does not list the special lunch time prices. My boyfriend ordered the chicken tendon with flowing egg (49hkd). I ordered the seafood tendon (54hkd). All lunch rice bowls come with a miso soup.
We assumed that the food may not be enough so my boyfriend ordered an extra 2 pieces of pumpkin and 2 pcs baby corn tempura for 8hkd each. The staff spoke English and was kind to dissuade us from ordering too much, assuring us that the bowls and tempura pieces are quiet large.

The seafood bowl that I ordered came with prawn, crab stick, lotus, chinese cabbage, squid, eggplant, and a flowing egg. All were perfectly fried tempura style and piled on to a mound of rice with a generous sprinkle of furikake. The table comes with bottles of furikake, togarashi, and the house sweet tempura sauce if you want to add more flavor to your bowl.

The best part of the dish is absolutely the beautiful soft boiled egg. You can request another piece if you'd like for 13hkd but the seafood bowl had one in it by default. The delicious rich yolk goes well with the sweet tempura sauce. It is fantastic with the rice.
Each piece in the bowl was lovely. I didnt expect to enjoy the chinese cabbage but the crispness and flavor was excellent. Even the crab stick was nicely fried with a moist and thick meat center. The eggplant too was a thick cut which was good for soaking up sauce. My one complaint is that the prawn was a little small and tasted more like breading than shrimp but I can hardly complain when the price point of this dish was so excellent.
I also would recommend the extra tempura pumpkin. It is quite large as the staff explained. The best way I can describe the size of the piece... is that it's probably a little larger than half a CD disk. We love that it is nicely fried with the pumpkin itself being so moist and cooked through. It is almost like a croquette.
Definitely a great lunch deal and worth the visit if you'd like to satisfy a tempura craving. Enjoy!
