I had reviewed Ten-Musubi before, while focusing on the Eel Bento at that time. The problem with the Bento boxes at Ten-Musubi is that they are mostly sold out towards the evening around 6:30pm, especially my fav Eel Bento. So one day when my fav Eel Bento was SOLD OUT I realized that I had been ignoring some other VERY GOOD Bento choices at this place.
The Sasa Bento (Sangenton Pork Cutlet) can be considered a close 2nd rank after Eel Bento .
As always, it may take 3-5 minutes to prepare because they bring the hot Bento from the kitchen and then pack it nicely. I should give some marks for the quality and overall finish of the packaging too (even though that’s not the most important factor).
The Pork Cutlet was crispy and well done... still managing to be a little tender inside. . As usual, their quantity of rice is more than enough which is a good thing....better more than less.
The other little accompaniments/pickles on the sides also added a nice finish to the Bento (but the cucumber seemed a little extra bitter than I usual.... but no biggie as its just 3-4 little pieces !). Overall, I would still love to pickup this Bento while going in/out of the IFC.
