I made a reservation in advance and since I was taking my mum there we ate pretty early 6.30pm. The place itself is quite small but it wasn't busy at all when we got there cos it was early. But they sat us right by the open kitchen, when we asked for a table away from the kitchen the first waiter said all the booth seats are booked.. Not pleased, I tell ya, I asked another waiter who brought over two glasses of water and some appetisers, some signature gherkin and something else.. After I asked
We ordered two set dinners: mine was medium well lamp chop with sweet potato fries and my mum ordered a medium rib eye steak with their signature fries. There wasn't too much of a wait for the food, and the main course came before I finished my soup, efficiency's a good thing, I guess, but not really good restaurant service, as the etiquette known by any good restaurant is that you don't clear the table and serve the next course unless everyone at the table's finished their current course but ah well..
Turned out they'd mixed up the order and got my side order with my mum's main dish.. Not only that, but my lamb chops were wayyy undercooked, it was more like a medium rare to me.. errughh
The only nice thing I really had was the celery soda I had, and that came from a can.
Overall, I would not recommend anyone eating there, considering it's a restaurant inside a hotel it's pretty horrendous.
