Finally visited Rosewood for afternoon tea! Been planning this visit for a good while and was so excited to go!
Let’s start off with the highlight, and that is their freshly baked scones! Definitely the BEST SCONES I have ever had! Super buttery in flavour, it has an incredibly light and soft texture, yet the top and bottom are still crispy and warm to the touch. Absolutely delicious with their strawberry jam! Not the tough chewy kind that sticks to your teeth at all. They were so good that we asked for a second round of scones! More on the rest of their delicious treats in my coming posts!
終於嚐到瑰麗酒店的下午茶🥰好興奮!最愛的是傳統的司康,熱烘烘的,外層脆身,入面質感鬆軟,完全沒有黏牙的感覺,配上草莓醬,太棒了!忍不住encore了一份😍
Starting off with the savoury dishes, they were all so dainty and petite! They went for a more traditional approach, featuring an upgraded version of the classic British tea sandwiches.
🍳 Egg Mayo w/ truffle: simple but a classic!
🥒Cucumber w/ sugar coated walnuts: love the fresh cucumbers and the nice crunch from the walnuts!
🐟Smoked Salmon w/ cream cheese: can never go wrong with this combo and my fav!
🧀Ham & cheese: the most elegant ham and cheese sandwich ever!
There was also a miniature chicken and mushroom pie, a warm and toasty treat to get you prepared for the desserts🥳
Aside from the experience itself, the major reason for my preoccupation with the idea of afternoon tea is my insatiable love for sweets and desserts! They just make my heart and tummy so happy🥰
Among everything we tried, my favourite was the Millie feuille for sure! So buttery and crispy, with the vanilla cream oozing out, was very pleasantly surprised.
The raspberry tart had a very buttery cookie base that made an impression. The blueberry cream cake was moist and soft, sadly, the blueberry flavour was barely noticeable. Regardless, being the sweet tooth I am, I love everything😉
對英式下午茶的憧憬其實是因為我超愛吃甜品。看到餐車上的甜點,真的超興奮!最有驚喜的是千層酥,充滿牛油香又酥脆,加上雲尼拿忌廉,實在太滿足🥰 紅桑子撻的餅底也做得不錯。藍莓忌廉蛋糕濕潤軟滑,略嫌藍莓味不足。不過,身為甜品控的我,基本上每樣都愛🤗
It was my first time trying Madeleines, so it deserves its own photo, plus we got a second helping! It was so puffed up and super light and airy. Like it more than a pound cake as it doesn’t taste as dense and buttery. A delightful treat, especially with their raspberry jam!
I was personally most excited about their chocolate trolley, guess I expected a little too much and was a little let down by what was on offer. The chocolate banana tart had a really rich and velvety chocolate flavour, I wasn’t a fan of the banana undertone though🙈 The canele was on the sweeter side and well made, but was already cold, soft and chewy when served, so it wasn’t at its best. The chocolate coated pound cake was normal. My favourite turned out to be the chocolate bark with hazelnut, which is actually kind of funny.😂 But then again, I love chocolate, so it’s that much of a surprise😉
第一次吃馬德蓮貝殼蛋糕,覺得很不錯👍🏻還encore了一次!肚臍拱得好高,質感輕盈鬆軟,配紅桑子醬好好味🤤
最期待的朱古力甜品餐車,反而有點少失望。朱古力香蕉撻朱古力味香濃,個人不太喜歡底層的香蕉部份。可露麗已經放涼了,已經沒有脆皮效果,偏甜、有咬口又偏淋🙈朱古力磅蛋糕也沒有什麼驚喜。最喜歡的反而是帶有榛子的朱古力塊😂
