Looking for a place to have lunch in Yuen Long, boyfriend and I came across this place with an extremely long name. 澳門街水蟹粥雞湯米 (English name: Pho Real Macau Street Water Crab Porridge Chicken Noodles). The place had a good number of people eating so we gave it a try.Menu is in Chinese only. I ordered the chicken soup ($49) and added $5 to add noodles to it. You can also choose rice but I wanted noodles. This was actually a lot of noodles. There was a lot of chicken in this bowl as well. The chicken was good. A good springy texture that is usually found with free range chicken. It was marinaded with a bit of Chinese wine which can be found in the rich soup as well. All was sweetened with dried red dates.
Boyfriend decided order off the daily lunch set as it included a drink. The lunch set was found on chalkboard on the wall. This is the poached chicken with spring onions and soy sauce ($48). It came with a bowl of rice. The chicken here wasn't as good as mine. It lacked seasoning and was a bit overcooked and dry.
I guess you should only order what their restaurant name is. Mine was pretty delicious where as boyfriend's wasn't good at all. Portion size is generous. Good for a cheap meal.
