It was a Thursday night around 20:00 and I was seated immediately. I ordered the dan dan noodles with marinated chicken and the pork and pak choy dumplings(8) in soy sauce soup.Everything arrived within 10 minutes, the dumplings taking the longest.Dan dan noodles: I would call these dan dan flavored broth noodles, but they are not a traditional dan dan noodle. Dan dan noodles: I would call these dan dan flavored broth noodles, but they are not a traditional dan dan noodle. Nonetheless, they were good. The broth flavor is predominately peanut sauce, with a pork broth to enhance depth of flavor and volume. I got the hottest version they had and I must say I was disappointed in the mildness of the dish. If you like the flavors of a dan dan noodle but want a peanut dominate flavoring that’s mild in spice, this is the bowl of noodles for you. The actual noodles were fantastic.
Marinated chicken: Probably my least favorite marinated chicken I’ve had yet. Just a strong alcohol flavor and the chicken was dry.
Dumplings: These were worth the 10-15 minute wait, well honestly they were worth more than that! Silky smooth wrapper that resembled more of a Wonton wrapper than dumpling. The insides were bursting with pork flavor and the bok choy gave great texture. I loved the chili oil/ sauce they had to dunk these in. Really enjoyable.
The staff was very friendly. They have English menus and speak English well.
