I was at the cafe with my girfriend and our 3 kids (age 4 to 8 years old).  The staff and service here is incredibly BAD! I hope Management READS this because we were there at about 1.30pm to 2.45pm today 4 July and after we ordered, our kids wanted some water. We asked a TRAINEE waitress (she wore a trainee badge - pony tail - check your duty roster for todays date and time which I have provided in detail above - if you want to know which staff this is as her badge only said 'trainee') for some

I was at the cafe with my girfriend and our 3 kids (age 4 to 8 years old).  The staff and service here is incredibly BAD! I hope Management READS this because we were there at about 1.30pm to 2.45pm today 4 July and after we ordered, our kids wanted some water. We asked a TRAINEE waitress (she wore a trainee badge - pony tail - check your duty roster for todays date and time which I have provided in detail above - if you want to know which staff this is as her badge only said 'trainee') for some water for the kids as the adults had ordered coffee. She looked at the Aqua Panna and the Pellegrino sitting on the table and said to our face - "we don't serve water." Her body language gestured at the sponsored water that she had to push at the tables. We got the DRIFT but 4 and 8 year olds don't need designer water at designer prices so we asked for TAP WATER! 

She said we dont serve TAP WATER here! I was appalled! And she had the nerve to add that it was restaurant policy. I wanted to call the Manager and when she saw my face she offered HOT WATER. It came - 3 cups BOILING HOT - hotter than our coffee. The kids of course could not drink it, started to whine. I called her back and asked for a cup of ice cubes hoping to cool the water. She looked at me and said straight faced "our company policy here is NO ICE CUBES. These are only reserved for COLD drinks!" We asked her how she thought we were going to let the kids drink the water? She shrugged and I asked for 3 cubes of ice since maybe one tea cup of ice was too much. She shook her head. I could not be bothered at this point to call for the MANAGER which I on hind sight should have as it would have been good to see a reaction from them. It was a good thing I did not because I could see the manager looking ut of the corner of her eye but refusing to INTERVENE. She probably thought we looked like troublesome customers. 

Then there were these little yellow ducks lying all over the tables and our kids took some and started to play with them and no one said anything. They were not part of the decor, they were NOT glued or blue tacked down or my kids would not have touched them, they were lying on the table tops. They were so small that you could throw one into your handbag and no one would be the wiser but as we thought that they were giveaways our kids walked out with one of them after the meal and the Manager who was NOW at the door looking at us said and glared in Cantonese "I'm afraid you can't take these. These have to stay in the restaurant!" I glared back at her and put the ducks back, thinking to myself - IF YOU DON'T WANT KIDS TO PLAY WITH IT OR TOUCH IT SAY SOMETHING WHEN THEY TOUCH IT IN THE FIRST PLACE OR DON"T LEAVE IT LYING AROUND. Every single person in HK know that the ducks were leftovers from a few weeks ago when the big rubber duck was in HK. So come on you have a passe promo in your store and all these left overs and you leave them around and you get angry when kids take them. Really is this restaurant for REAL? 

OK FOLKS are these people the WORST TRAINED STAFF in HONG KONG in terms of Customer Service? There are so many ways that this could have gone better - the food is not too bad here and its TOO BAD when I see the number of negative comments here about this outlet, MANAGEMENT PLEASE RETRAIN YOUR ENTIRE TEAM IN THIS STORE!
