I don't think many locals can take really spicy food, but for some reason Sichuan restaurants are so prevalent in HK. Happened to me many times when I asked for super spicy, the staff had to reconfirm with me lol. Today I visited a chain Sichuan restaurant called Spicy Gathering.Snow Opera Mask beer from Sichuan $28 for 2 bottles - never heard of this!!! Fragrant and sweet. Delish!Frog in pickled chili - not as strong-flavored as I thought. The portion had about 3 frogs with lots of ingredients

Frog in pickled chili - not as strong-flavored as I thought. The portion had about 3 frogs with lots of ingredients like tofu skin, lotus root, celtuse, black fungus and mushroom.
Sichuan beef - available in two sizes. We ordered the small one, but still big portion! Served with lots of ingredients like the above dish. Beef was not baking soda tenderized but still soft. So yum and should've ordered the big one instead!
Cauliflower with Sichuan cured meat - second thing that I tried for the first time in my life. Sichuan cured meat tasted like a mixture of liver pate and meat. Rich and savory. Could gulp down another beer by snacking on the salami!
Staff were super friendly. Comfy seats. Most of the customers had the all-you-can-eat hot pot. Seemed like a good deal with the amount of seafood included.
