Had been busy working this morning, starving when it came to lunch time. My colleague and I just went out for a quick, early lunch at around 1200 nn. Randomly popped into this little Korean restaurant on the first floor of the hotel. There wasn't much people yet. Quiet and nice. I ordered the Ginseng chicken soup (SAMGYETANG in Korean) and my colleague had a rice dumpling and rice cake soup. Once the order was made, 4 appetisers were served. I like the Kimchi best while she loved the macaroni salad (it is an interesting one, had not seen this elsewhere).
The chicken soup was massive!! With one whole chicken in it, stuffed with glutinous rice and garlic, also with other ingredients like ginseng and red dates. A separate bowl of steamed rice was also complementary and I could not finish the set at all. The soup was sweet and creamy, yet not greasy at all. I love the glutinous rice so much!! It was even better than the chicken itself as it soaked up all the savouring flavour from the soup. On another note, it was boiling when served to me and still hot when I finished (like half an hour later?!) Very Impressive!

Quite a nice price for this portion! Value for money for the SAMGYETANG but not so the rice dumpling one.
better come early,, it gets crowded after 1pm
