Cafe Terceira is a new restaurant in Times Square that took over the vacated School Food area. I came here for lunch as I did want to eat at School Food but discovered that this was in it's place. Too lazy to find somewhere else to eat, I decided to give it a try.The place serves Macanese cuisine. Menu is in English and Chinese. I decided on the soup. The daily soup was cream of mushroom. It was extremely creamy with super crunchy croutons. The taste of mushroom wasn't very strong but at least it was creamy.
I chose the spiced pork chop bun ($82). It came wth fries and salad.
The pork chop bun was ok. Pork chop was thick and juicy. Bun wasn't as crispy as expected. The fries were spicy with a lot of paprika. The salad, on the other hand, was limp. The lettuce was browning. It didn't appear fresh and I left it unfinished.
Food was average though food came out in about 5 minutes after I ordered. Even faster than McDonald's! They also appear understaffed as the three people working were rushing around trying to help the full restaurant. And the place? It was so noisy, I couldn't even hear myself think. I do like a quiet lunch place, so that combined with the mediocre food, makes me not want to return.
