Another “premium” fast food places has opened in Hong Kong, let’s see how it compares. First of all we went at about 6pm and there was no line at all, however the seating was very limited and we had to wait for a bit for a free table. The first disappointment came in a brown paper bag. The presentation of the food was quite unpleasant. The burgers were wrapped in ugly tin foils and most of the fries has fallen out of the cup. And even if you were eating in, there was no trays to hold everything so it could get quite messy. The burger was what we were looking forward to the most and it was a disappointment. The burger was huge and both the patties were pretty thick. However the bun was soggy and the meat was on the dry side. The shack burger was leaps and bounds better than this. The only redeeming thing was the fries which were excellent, they were crispy and fragrant and the portions were huge. Overall, at this price point I really expected betted. Five guys is way overhyped and I probably wouldn’t be coming back.
