It was raining cats and dogs in Central we stumbled around looking for a restaurant to eat a late lunch. Having been to Kyoto Joe a few years ago we were confident that we were going to get our moneys worth.We couldn't have been more wrong.My partner and I both ordered one of the bento lunch sets that consisted of sashimi as well as a chicken teriyaki rice box. My partner and I both ordered one of the bento lunch sets that consisted of sashimi as well as a chicken teriyaki rice box. Not only was the fish not fresh it was of terrible grade. I get better quality fish at my local Wellcome. Not only was the fish bad but the chicken teriyaki even worse! The chicken reeked of freezer burn. It had a very distinct taste of being refridgerated for too long.
A very expensive and unplesant lunch.
To make things worse they had the ordasity to charge me extra on my credit card bill. I am currently working with my bank to dispute the transaction. (The waiter apparently thought it was ok to charge me an extra $50 as a tip when I distinctly wrote a 0.00- for tip.)
