After a long day of hiking near Fanling, we decided to have an early dinner before heading back home. While we saw few people queuing outside this stall, we were attracted by their wide range of food offered and amazing price. 雲津美食 was located at Wo Lung Street, several minutes walk from Fanling MTR. They were practically a take-away stall, and yet their menu was very comprehensive, offering a wide range of fried snacks and drinks etc.
Even though they specialized in fried snacks, but i was surprised by the quality of their drinks. Cereal banana milkshake was one of the best i have tasted recently, with generous serving of cereal and banana, and was blended till milky and smooth. Dark chocolate smoothie was strong in chocolate taste and blended till smooth, with no ice bits in it. Peach lactic acid was very sweet and refreshing, with strong peach taste.
Hashbrown was fried till crispy and chewy, and was served hot too.
Curry fish ball was chewy and smooth, with slight curry taste.
Fried sushi was their signature fried snack, and my first time trying this as well. It was fried till crispy and chewy, with crab meat filling in between.
Fin soup was thick in texture and smooth, with generous serving of mushroom and fins in it. Pepper and vinegar was provided to enhance the taste.
Sour and spicy noodle was really spicy in taste, even though i can eat spicy food and request for less spicy. It was flavourful and noodle was chewy and smooth.
Fried drumstick set consisted of fried drumstick, french fries and soft drink. French fries was fried till soft and crispy and drumstick was huge in size, and the skin was fried till crispy and yet the meat was juicy and smooth.
Sliced beef with instant noodle - Sliced beef was tender and juicy, cut till thin in texture. Instant noodles was chewy and smooth, absorbing the essence of the soup.
