One line summary of my experience is “overpromise, under delivered”. Food portions were small and tasted okay with the abalone pot rice being “the best” in this tasting menu. But nothing spectacular about the presentation, taste, or ambience to make me remember this place and wanna come back again. They are obviously more keen on upselling customers with more food order from the moment you sat down than to do a good job across the board. But nothing spectacular about the presentation, taste, or ambience to make me remember this place and wanna come back again. They are obviously more keen on upselling customers with more food order from the moment you sat down than to do a good job across the board.
Ms Ronnie was exceptional in how she made us feel very unwelcomed by insisting we sat directly under the air con vent when we (2 seniors and me the handicap) were there at 12:30 with only 2 tables of guests. Such “5 star” service is truly unforgettable.
So my recommendation is for same amount of $$, you are far better off going to grand Hyatt and island shangri la. There is a reason why those places are frequently booked out.
