After reading so many good comments from Openrice about this shop, I can't wait to visit here to try it out. It turns out to be a big big disappointment. This shop has received its publicity undeservedly. First of all, the macarron is surprisingly sub-standard. The lychee macarron fell apart and almost spilled out from my grab, is this a joke?? First of all, the macarron is surprisingly sub-standard. The lychee macarron fell apart and almost spilled out from my grab, is this a joke?? I have never tried such a poorly made macarron. The flavor is artificial. In short, it's a waste of time and money. Given it's priced at $15, it's no where in comparison with Jean Paul Hevin or Paul Lafayek, not to mention those shops have a much higher and more established reputation.
Then we tried the roll which I think is over-rated and over-priced. The highly acclaimed sesame roll is slightly better because the taste itself is alright. The other two, chocolate banana and earl grey tea are not special at all. The cream is not smooth nor fresh. The ingredient is just of so-so quality. All of these, together with the texture of the roll which seems like jelly, can't convince me with its outrageous $26 price tag. If we are talking about quality egg roll at this price range, Roll is just a big let-down. I will not come back again and will not recommend to anybody.
