I read about this place on a "top-10 SOHO restaurants" guide, so I figured it would be good. I ordered the Enchiladas supreme (or grande or whatever) with chicken and a corona.

First things first, on the door they had stickers for Visa and Mastercard, but their card reading machine was broken, and I didn't have cash. This was a major annoyance as the closest ATM they knew of was three blocks away.

Second, the presentation left something to be desired. Even though I dined in, my food came in an aluminum take-away box with plastic silverware.

I'm not sure the enchiladas were technically speaking enchiladas. An enchilada is "en-chilied", that is, the tortilla has been dipped in a spicy enchilada sauce. These cheese-covered tacos had no sauce at all. Not on them, not in them, nowhere.

The chicken inside was extremely dry and chewy, and of course the lack of sauce exacerbated this fault. However, there were some redeeming features: the pinto beans were delicious (and I don't normally even like pinto beans), the cheese on top was tasty (and there was quite a bit of it), and the guacamole was passable. I still only managed to eat half my food though; it's tough to slog through so much dry, dry chicken wrapped in sauceless corn tortillas.
