We went for lunch on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Even though it was just shy of 12 noon, we had to wait in line to go in. The waitress at the counter was rude and obnoxious. She didn't seem very willing to entertain non-local individuals like ourselves. In fact, despite the fact that we had arrived before another HK couple, she seated them instead of us. Once inside the restaurant, you get greeted cheerfully by the staff in the classic Japanese way. This time however, I was pleasantly surprised, and my mood elevated, when I saw that the staff were genuinely enjoying their work.
The sushi on display on the belt looked fresh and delicious. One can easily look over the belt to watch the chefs prepare the sushi. The turn over of the sushi is also quite fast and hence one can conclude that what goes around the belt is safely fresh.
The sushi was good. They had several interesting sushi that is worth a shot. Unfortunately I do not have pictures to illustrate, but frequent sushi-goers will recognise it on sight or by description.
One thing defintely worth trying is Mi-Ne Sushi's version of the tamago sushi. Instead of the regular slice of atmago atop a ball of rice, this is a large cube of tamago wrapping the rice. The tamago is served hot and fresh. Tasty.
All in all, the service was ordinary, save for that nasty waitress on the outside, the prices are standard for a sushi bar and the food was above average.
Worth giving it a shot.
