In all honesty it's not as bad as what the other critiques say, on the proviso that you know what to order in a particular restaurant / cafe. I was lucky to have ordered the kitchen's signature food on the first go. I ended up sitting among strangers in a solitary lunch. Not knowing what to choose, I thought the concept of tomato and fatty beef instant noodles with a Borsch soup base interesting, so I ordered one along with an iced lemon water. I was lucky to have ordered the kitchen's signature food on the first go.
I ended up sitting among strangers in a solitary lunch. Not knowing what to choose, I thought the concept of tomato and fatty beef instant noodles with a Borsch soup base interesting, so I ordered one along with an iced lemon water.
The wait was a bit long, I also had to move seats once because a pair wanted to sit where I was sitting, so I wasn't too pleased with all the unnecessary commotion.
The noodles did some some 20 minutes later and I was pleased with what I got. The Borsch soup had a homemade taste to it: full of vegetables and tomato paste; the splodge of puree-esque tomatoes was fine and the fatty beef looked as though it had just come out of the steamboat. I gave it a mix and thought that it was good.
It was simple enough for me to cook at home, although I doubt I will have time to make Borsch soup for myself, so I guess I will be patronising here a little bit more often - on the proviso I have money. It's a bit over the top to be charging over $30 for a meal. I'm always looking for a good meal at an affordable price =)
