I have patronized at least 6 or 7 Tsui Wah restaurants in HK and must say that not all can deliver the same standard. Of all the Tsui Wahs I have visited the 2 tastitest are YMT and opposite Hang Seng bank branches. The 2 worst are the Tsui Wahs at lan kwai fong and jordan near temple street. Anyway, YMT tsui wah is nicely located right outside YMT exit A1. A good place for me to grab a quick bite before heading back to work. The crowd during lunch is good there because there are many mainland tourist (not overly stressed hk office tar kong zais gossipping about the bosses). Maybe it is because there are many direct china coaches right around the corner.
Let's talk about food, for today's lunch I had Spanish organic vegetarian risotto. Portion is about right, and the taste to my delight was not too salty. Very juicy tomatoes and the olives had a very natural blasting flavour.
Presentation of the dish had a nice twist with a piece of fresh mint on top. Doesn't come with a drink as TW is famous for really really expensive champagne milk tea. (cheapskate me will not buy that drink unless someone offers!)
Overall, top quality delivered with excellent waitresses to assist you. Oh yes, I just realized that TW also accepts visa paywave so another 2 stars for easy payment services.
I see many people order the lunch set which cost around 50hkd. Get's a little boring as it usually consist of rice/spaghetti/potatoes with meat of your choice. So when you drop by TW and would like to try something healthier so try the spanish rice.
Have fun.
