How competitive it is to run a business nowadays?With sky-rocketing rent, monopoly of big companies....I am surprised by 20 metres away, there are two Japanese hotpot restaurants in the basement of Pioneer Center in Mong Kok!I have already tried both of them before in other places, so they are not really much different to me. Therefore, I opt for the cheaper one, which is also the more popular one.Nabe One is our choice of tonight.We chose the US Supreme beef and pork. $168 eachWhy Taichi? HaHa

I am surprised by 20 metres away, there are two Japanese hotpot restaurants in the basement of Pioneer Center in Mong Kok!
I have already tried both of them before in other places, so they are not really much different to me. Therefore, I opt for the cheaper one, which is also the more popular one.

Why Taichi? HaHa nonono, this is a double soup based pot (+$18), then you can try two different flavours...We chose Salmon Soy Milk Soup and Sukiyaki! Sukiyaki is a Japanese sweet soy sauce soup, which personally thinks works best with beef!!!!!
For this kind of set, you can order as many pork and beef as you want, great news for meat lovers!
Both beef and pork are sliced very thin, so that it cooks extremely fast in the boiling soup.
Basically you just dip them in, wait for like 5-10 seconds, then they are ready! The thin slices absorb the sweatness of the soup base while maintain the rich meaty taste!
You can also get and mix your own dipping for the food! I love spices!
For other food, the restaurant provides a wide range of choices in the self-serve area. You can just walk in and pick anything you like in the basket provided, from veggie, carbo, meatballs, anything you want!
Vegetables are my favorite too, especially the Cordyceps flower (the yellow worms like veggie), their chewy texture is unique!
For dessert lover, they also provides differnt kinds of cakes, pudding and most importantly a Froyo and ice-cream station!
So you can just pick flavour u like and be the ice-cream lady to put it straight from the machine and add in anything you like to top it up!!!Their froyo is smooth and yogurt-y, perfect after eating lots of meat tonight!!!This is also a good deal as normally froyo sells around $25 per cup outside!
