I was brought to Central by a friend who is a big fan of Italian cuisine on Sunday night. She learnt this restaurant from a booking app. We had certain discount by attending at specific hours. The place is more spacious than that of High Street and the dim light makes the environment a little bit romantic. I like their classic wood furniture. The empty wine bottle glasses are the decorations forming the some of the walls.
餐廳面積比起高街嗰邊大唔少,偏暗黑嘅燈光同埋木製嘅傢俬令環境變得有少少浪漫💕,並帶份古典味道。另外,部份牆身用上空嘅玻璃酒樽作裝飾點綴。

My friend was in charge of the ordering tonight. I had full confidence in her choices. The food menu covers Appetizer, First Course (Pasta), Second Course (Fish/ Meat) and Desserts. Drink list is also available.
呢晚由我朋友發辦,我對佢十分有信心😄。餐牌主要涵蓋前菜、第一道主菜(意粉)、第二道主菜(魚/肉)以及甜品🍽。同時,餐廳亦有飲品餐牌。

Potato Croquttes ($98) kicked off our dinner. The appetiser was a light one even it was a deep-fried dish. It was not oily at all, and its skin was not dry since it did not come with thick bread crumbs batter. The taste of six pieces of potato croquttes stuffed with melted mozzarella cheese was just amazing. Look at the photo and you would know how soft the cheese was!

炸馬鈴薯餅Potato Croquttes🥔($98)為我哋嘅晚餐揭開序幕。呢個前菜雖然係油炸,但亦相對輕量。再者,佢完全唔油,炸皮亦唔會乾,可能因為無上太厚粉同麵包糠。六件炸薯餅入面塞滿水牛芝士🧀,味道好正。睇相完全展示出個芝士嘅拉絲效果!

Vincisgrassi ($210) was the first course we chose. Can I just say it’s the same as Lasagne? Haha, I was unsure about this. Anyway I believed they were similar dishes which served in layers. The combo of minced beef and pork was rich in flavours and juicy. Four layers of pasta with three layers of minced meat made the thickness alright. The large rectangular shape pasta had a firm texture (called it al dente?). The portion was large enough for sharing! Lasagne is available in many restaurants in Hong Kong, even in Cha Chaan Teng or Cafe offering fusion food. However, they could not be compared with this “Vincisgrassi”.

肉醬千層麵Vincisgrassi🍝($210)係我哋嗌嘅第一道主菜,對於佢嘅英文名我唔太了解,但應該係類同Lasagne嘅食物?肉醬係由免治豬肉同牛肉組成,食落味道濃郁兼多汁😋。四層麵夾三層肉醬令菜式厚度啱啱好;長方形一大塊嘅麵皮口感好彈牙。千層麵嘅份量係夠幾個人Share食的。香港好多地方都有得食千層麵,但質素完全唔係嗰個層次。

Sea Bass in Crazy Water ($298) was the second course we chose. I was really curious about how crazy and tangy the broth was! Actually the taste was not as “crazy” as it claimed, it was only a little bit chilli and with a strong flavour of tomato and fish (but not unpleasant fishy). I really liked the droolworthy soup a lot. The slightly oily sea bass flesh came perfectly with the crazy broth. The tenderness of fish meat also proved it was not overcooked. This dish was served with Garlic Bread. They were crunchy and buttery. Overall, I would say it was less heavier than pork/ beef dishes. So you would not overfill your stomach. My first time trying the dish and it impressed me a lot!

瘋水鱸魚Sea Bass in Crazy Water🐟($298) 係我哋嗌嘅第二道主菜,我完全唔識將呢道菜名翻譯成中文,哈哈🤣。我好好奇究竟Crazy Water有幾瘋狂同重口味呢!其實湯汁冇想像中咁濃烈,只係有少少辣🌶同埋好重嘅🍅蕃茄同魚香(並唔腥的),味道幾正🤤。 鱸魚方面,魚肉帶點油香,同個湯好夾;肉質亦非常鮮嫩,可以證明廚師控制火候得宜,並無煮得過熟。呢道菜仲搭配好脆同好香牛油味嘅蒜蓉包🥖。整體而言,魚肉菜式比起肉扒無咁飽滯。我第一次食呢道菜式,並留下深刻印象!

As a tiramisu lover, I would definitely pick Limanisu, which was described as “a dessert very similar to tiramisu made from limoncello” and further explained that no coffee components included. However, it was a pity that the dessert was unavailable due to unexpected opening hours and demands recently. The manager treated both of us a mini Panna Cotta instead. So friendly of him! The dessert surprised us! Olive oil was topped on the pudding and improved the aroma. The melt-in-the-mouth texture of fresh cream also let me addicted.

作為提拉米蘇專員,我當然想揀Limanisu做甜品啦,佢被形容為同Tiramisu好相似,但就用上檸檬酒🍋取代咖啡。只可惜今日冇賣呢個甜品,因為最近嘅營業時間同需求都唔穩定,比較難預控材料。不過經理好好人,請我哋食迷你嘅意式奶酪Panna Cotta。估唔到甜品仔都咁有驚喜,面頭嘅橄欖油提升咗奶凍嘅香味🍮,而且入口即溶嘅口感令人欲罷不能。

For the drinks, we ordered House Sparkling Wine (150ml) ($78) and Nergoni (cocktail)($68). The cocktail was recognised as a popular Italian one, made of Gin, Vermouth and Campari, garnished with orange peel. The bitterness was too strong and came after the sweetness. I would say this cocktail would not be welcomed by ladies!? I prefer the sparkling much much more.
飲品方面,我哋嗌咗杯氣泡酒House Sparkling Wine (150ml)($78)同埋雞尾酒Nergoni($68)。後者被譽為意大利幾出名嘅Cocktail,用🍊橙皮作點綴,但酒味太強加上苦味在後勁,完全蓋過入口嘅甜味。我諗女仔未必啱飲?我自己鍾意氣泡酒多好多🍾。

To conclude, it was a marvellous Italian dinner. I am not a professional having much knowledge in food but my friend assured its authenticity. The simply presented dishes tasted delicious. We enjoyed the meal beyond words could describe except the Nergoni haha. The price after discounts was attractive. I would definitely recommend friends dine in this new restaurant!
總括嚟講,呢餐係一餐好出色嘅意大利晚餐👍。我自己對食物方面嘅認知唔太深,但同行朋友話呢餐好正宗。菜式無浮誇嘅擺盤,但味道就好正好好味,我除咗杯雞尾酒以外都好滿意哈哈。用App訂枱有折,折完價格好吸引。我絕對會推介朋友嚟試中環呢間新餐廳🌟!
