Ex-Gorhka introduces a non-conventional yet extremely delectable Nepalese cuisine to Hong Kong. The restaurant is located conveniently in the streets of Jordan that is bustling with life. We ordered some of the traditional dishes that was kindly introduced by the staffs such as the Sekuwa, a delicious Nepalese country style roasted meat snack; and coupled with a healthy dish of fresh vegetable green salad to kickstart our meal.
Next, we also ordered the Mutton Biriyani which is my personal favourite. The serving of the dish was a very generous amount and the rice was well spiced and fragrant. The mutton in the Biriyani was very juicy and tasty, and I felt that it complemented really well with the rice.
Last but not least, we also ordered the chicken curry with Nepalese style plain bread. The curry was thick, savoury and very appetizing. The breads went really well with the curry dips and in my opinion, it is definitely a dish that is worth a try.
Overall, it was definitely a very eye-opening experience for me. It is my first time indulging in a Nepalese meal and I really enjoyed it very much. I’ll be looking forward to be going back for more soon!
