It was my second visit for Oaktree. I came for the carbonara in cheese wheel last time and thought it would be good for a revisit for set meal. I was right. High food quality though I liked the cheese wheel pasta more. I had the tenderloin and foie gras set at $248 and my friend took the German pig knuckle set at $238. Soup- lobster bisque, truffle porcini mushroom cream soup
Both are smooth and silky, highly seasoned.
Main- foie gras and tenderloin
Sided with potato wedges and greens. Quite nice. A tender cut and delicious foie gras. Foie gras is high in calories but still healthy because it is mainly good fats (mono-saturated and poly-unsaturated fats) that made up the liver. The good fats help raise levels of good cholesterol and lower levels of bad cholesterol. So as long as you pay attention to the portion, feel free to indulge in your lobe or mousse of foie gras.
