Woke up late and hungry, I went out nearby for some food. Seeing as I have never been inside this cha chan teng, I decided to give it a try. I don't know why I never tried it as I seem to walk by it all the time.Sitting down, I got the usuall cha chan teng service. I was asked what I wanted when I didn't even glance at the menu yet. Menu, by the way, is all in Chinese but they do have an English menu upon request.
I ordered a four different types of dumplings with rice noodles ($40). The noodles were mushy and over cooked. The four different dumplings was one fish ball, one squid ball, two pork balls and one fish skin dumpling. Oddly, the balls all tasted the same. I really couldn't tell the difference. They were overly starchy as too much flour was used to make them. The fish skin dumpling was super salty.
