The use of chopped bean curd is very smart with great texture just like minced pork, seasoned with sichuan peppercorn and thai basil to re-create the Thai flavors.

The devilish salted egg yolk crust is salty and slightly crispy, bringing much flavors to the cauliflower which was soft and tender. The pumpkin purée and braised mushroom underneath felt disjointed with the dish though they tasted good.

The vegan sambal is the pungent soul of the broth bringing the heat and the lemongrass-y goodness flavors while the coconut offers a sweet balance. The rice noodles is the perfect accompaniment to the laksa broth. Yes it missed the seafood umami depth but overall flavors is there.

Very nicely executed with thin crispy batter on the mushroom which has the firm meaty texture, perfect substitute for pork. The sweet and sour sauce is well balanced with good sticky consistency.
