A while ago, I tried the green tea soft serve at McDonald's in Causeway Bay. But now they have expanded on the green tea soft serve concept with two new items. Available in limited areas (one being Star House, Tsim Sha Tsui), they now have green tea and vanilla soft serve for $5 or the green tea sundae for $8.Green Tea Sundae ($8). Green Tea Sundae ($8). Since I tried the soft serve cone last time, I tried the green tea sundae this time. What you get is green tea ice cream with hot chocolate sauce and peanuts. The green tea tasted like green tea candy. So, if you like green tea candy, then it's ok. Don't expect true green tea flavor like say Via Tokyo. Nope. But green tea candy is ok in my book if it costs $8. The only thing is the hot chocolate sauce and peanuts didn't really match green tea. I think it would have been better if they added azuki beans and azuki bean sauce.
