This Cantonese restaurant is known to be opened a TVB celebrity, Derek Kok, in Hong Kong. The restaurant features a lot of in-season seafood dishes. The staff would recommend you the freshest seafood and you may choose your desired cooking method like steamed, deep fried, or stir-fried. Just like some Cantonese restaurants, the provided snacks and tea would cost $10 each. We really enjoyed the nuts and it tasted housemade. Highly recommended to order some beer to go with it. Cashew nuts ($10)Tea

Steamed scallop with garlic and clear noodle ($58 each)

Scallop was one of the in-season seafood that was recommended by the staff. Since me and my friend weren't so into fried food so we have asked the restaurant to steamed the scallops which is also one of the most traditional way to enjoy shellfish.

The scallop was butterflied and its mantle was separated for us to consume easily. The meat was very fresh with a perfect tenderness, while the mantle was sharp and crunchy, making it my all time favourite kind of seafood dish.

The rock fish fillet was soaked in light soup filled with aromatic seafood flavour, complimenting with some young celery, soya sheet product, capsicum and some mixed mushrooms.

The rock fish serving size was very generous with around 10 pieces of big fillets. Each piece was thick with a thick layer of gelatin skin full of collagen. Usually I would skip any skin, but I wouldn't mind eating this rock fish skin because I know it's very good for you.

The yellow rice wine is known as very nutritious especially for women. The halved chicken was cooked in the wine soup base, along with some black fungus, garlic, onion, and loads of young ginger.

The alcoholic smell was fragrantful, while the ginger also delivered a pungent spiciness to the soup, yet not overly spicy. The mix taste of spicy and wine-like flavour were very great for sharing and we liked how it was kept in a hot pot to maintain its tempreture.

The oysters were covered with a sweet and savoury medium thick batter dressed with sweet port wine sauce. The wrapped up oysters were so juicy and fresh that was very soft and easy to chew. The seawater taste was still very noticeable after being deep fried. We highly recommend you to enjoy it quick otherwise the batter may get soggy from the sauce.

Lotus root, yam, with fried garlic ($88)

A vegetarian dish that is actually a mixed of different nutritious ingredients. Some ingredients are even considered Chinese medicine in some way.

The taste was really light and each original flavour was outstanding. After so many meat dish, it was really nice to at least enjoy some healthy greens and vegetables at least.

The restaurant really uses less oil and salt to prepare their food, which is probably the easily way to start with a summer diet!
