A friend read about Kei Kee Dessert in CNN Go so we decided to go all the way up to Yuen Long just to try the much-talked about BBoy Grass Jelly.It was amazingly good considering it was only fruits, grass jelly, nata de coco toppings and milk (if you like). There was papaya, peach, lychee, jackfruit (i love jackfruit!!!), hami melon, melon and kiwi. According to my friend (who was in charge of reading the menu since she's the only one who can read Chinese), the grass jelly base could be changed for a different base - sago or tofu or something else. We stuck to the grass jelly and had a blast.
We also tried the Durian Mochi which was absolutely heavenly! It was smooth and creamy and definitely smelly (smelly durian is good durian, yes?). Do not eat this if you're on a date or planning to go on a date.
There's a lot of room for improvement as far as interiors go, though. We went there at around 10pm and the place was jam packed with people dining in and ordering take out and you have people jostling for space in the cramped area that they have. Leave your chair for 10 seconds and it gets taken away by other customers (or staff trying to seat other customers). And it wouldn't hurt if they had an English menu as well.
