Got here at 9ish on Friday night, we were quite full already but could not resist the crunch cake yet again. My friends each ordered a cup of earl grey while I fancied green tea latte. The 3 of us picked the crunch cake and the warm apple pie with shaved cheddar to share.The green tea latte was sensuously smooth and rich in aroma, the blending was happily harmonious. The green tea latte was sensuously smooth and rich in aroma, the blending was happily harmonious. The mug was perfected with a slight hint of sweetness.
THE crunch cake...the honeycomb pieces were undoubtedly its soul. The cake itself was light and fluffy, the cream was less-sweet-than-normal; together they made a lovely contrast to the crunchy and characteristically sweet honeycomb pieces.
The warm apple pie was surprisingly no cliche either, the apple chunks were huge and juicy, warm but not sour. The cinnamon flavour was clearly present but managed not to steal the show.
The waiter was attentive and pleasant, an hour at Sevva really marked a perfect ending to a happy Friday.
